AKB48, Maeda Atsuko to star in “Moshidora” movie
AKB48 member, Maeda Atsuko will star in upcoming movie “Moshimo Koukou Yakyu no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no “Management” wo Yondara (aka: Moshidora),” which will be released in July 2011. ”Moshidora” is a business novel which took the No.1 best seller of the year title. It’s a story about a high school girl who is the manager of a lesser baseball team and how she tries to lead the team to “Koshien (National High School Baseball Championship)” by learning strategies from business book, “Management” by Peter Drucker.
AKB48 member Itano Tomomi to release a solo single, “Dear J”
AKB48 member Itano Tomomi has made an announcement that she will be releasing a solo single, titled “Dear J“, on January 26th! She will be the first member to debut solo among the AKB48 members.
AKB48 celebrates their 5th anniversary at the AKB48 Theater!
On December 8th, AKB48 held a special stage at the AKB48 Theater to celebrate their 5th year anniversary! A total of 82 girls showed up for the event, which if we broke down, included all of the AKB48 members, 16 research members, 5 SDN48 members, and 13 graduated members. AKB48 & Shoujo Jidai’s performances pull in the highest ratings from ‘FNS Music Festival’
The annual “FNS Music Festival” was broadcasted on December 4th this year, and it was reported that it received an average viewership rating of 21.7%. But it skyrocketed to 29.4% when AKB48 and Shoujo Jidai performed each other’s hit songs, establishing without a doubt that this segment was the highlight of the night.
