Willie Revillame wants to make peace with Joey de Leon
Wala pang isang araw pagkatapos makipag-meeting kay Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairman Consoliza Laguardia, kapansin-pansin noong September 1, sa noontime show na Wowowee ang kagustuhan ng host nitong si Willie Revillame na makipag-ayos na sa nakaalitan nitong si Joey de Leon.
Sa kalagitnaan ng show, nagpasalamat si Willie kay Chair Laguardia para sa mga payo nito sa kanya sa kanilang closed-door meeting. Bukod dito, humingi rin ng paumanhin ang TV host-comedian sa pagiging emosyonal niya noong Martes, August 28.
Ani Willie, “I’d just like to thank Chairman Laguardia, kinausap niya ako kagabi. Tama, peacemaker po talaga [siya]. Chairman, maraming salamat sa mga payo ninyo sa akin at susundin ko po iyon.
“Pasensiya na po kung nagiging emosyonal ako sa mga pangyayari sa buhay ko. Sa araw-araw po kasi na nandito ako, siyempre sa pagod, sa lahat na po, nadadala kami sa emosyon. Pero magmula po ngayon, open na ako.”
Bukod pa rito, idinaan din ni Willie sa kanta ang pagnanais niyang makipagbati sa kaniyang “kaibigan” na si Joey.
“Magbati na tayo, aking kaibigan. Pasensiya ka na, nadala lang ng emosyon. Pero ikaw pa rin ang aking inspirasyon dahil ikaw ang tunay na institusyon. Eat Bulaga! kayo ang tunay na number one…” bahagi ng awitin ni Willie patungkol kay Joey.
Matatandaan nagbuhos ng sama ng loob si Willie sa kanyang programa noong August 28 laban kay Joey, na aniya ay pinapasaringan siya bunsod ng nangyaring “pagkakamali” sa “Wilyonaryo” segment ng Wowowee noong August 20.
SENATE HEARING NOT NEEDED Samantala, hindi naman sang-ayon si Senator Bong Revilla, chairman ng Senate Committee for Public information and Mass Media, na paabutin pa sa Senado ang sinasabing iregularidad sa segment na “Wilyonaryo” ng Wowowee.
Para sa senador, “It is within the power of DTI [Department of Trade and Industry] to suspend, to investigate. Nasa kanila na iyon kung ano ang magiging desisyon nila. Pero para paratingin natin sa Senado, sa tingin ko hindi pa, hindi pa napapanahon.”
Tulad ng iba pang artista, nais din ni Bong na magkaayos na lamang ng personal sina Willie at Joey sa halip na magpatuloy na magbangyan sa telebisyon.

PEP: ABS-CBN admits ‘design flaw’ in ‘Wilyonaryo’ game show
On August 29, an emotional Willie Revillame appeared on television abhorring comments made by Joey de Leon, co-host of long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga, about the “Wilyonaryo” incident. He explained that the comment, “Dito walang dayaan,” was directed towards him, hinting that it was an accusation that he was rigging the game. He went on to explain that he is slighted because all he wanted to do is “magpasaya lang ng mga kababayan.”
Earlier today in Eat Bulaga, Joey de Leon answered Willie’s complaints against him. He remarked that Willie should clarify what happened in the “Wilyonaryo” incident—which he now calls “Hello Pappy” scandal—before shifting the attention to someone else. The comedian turned playful and advised Willie to learn how to cry with actual tears.
At 6:44 p.m., PEP received an official statement from Mr. Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN Corporate Communications Vice-President, about Wowowee’s “Wilyonaryo” incident. The statement read:
“We launched a new game segment in Wowowee entitled ‘Wilyonaryo.’ On the second day of its launch, we discovered a design flaw. There were two numbers in the same wheel, which became subject to questioning. On the next day, we corrected the flaw. While the design of the game may be flawed, we have no intention to manipulate results, but rather to add excitement and suspense.
“Unfortunately, a game show can experience glitches in its initial stages of development. But we wish to assure the public that we would increase our vigilance in the development of our games in the protection of public interest.
“All our game shows are executed in accordance to our corporate values of honesty and integrity as our track record will show. We assure the public that all games and contests in Wowowee are executed with transparency, fairness, and honesty.
“Wowowee will continue to give cheer, help, and fulfill the dreams of millions of viewers around the world.” - Philippine Entertainment Portal
PEP: Joey de Leon, Willie R word war heats up

Mukhang hindi pa nga matatapos ang pagpapalitan ng mga maaanghang na salita nina Joey de Leon at Willie Revillame dahil matapos maglitanya ng kanyang hinaing si Willie kahapon sa Wowowee, heto at agad namang may sagot ang Eat Bulaga! host na si Joey.
Fresh from Hong Kong, isang palabang Joey ang agad na nabungaran sa Eat Bulaga! kaninang tanghali. “Alam kong sabik kayo at naghihintay ng sasabihin ko, puwes, hindi ko kayo bibiguin. Abangan ninyo mamaya, magsasalita ako,” ang paunang sinabi ni Joey immediately after magbukas ang Eat Bulaga!.
In between their portions, pinanindigan ng matapang na TV host ang pambubuska niya sa host ng katapat na programa. Naroong itanong ni Joey sa isang contestant kung ano ang tawag sa maliit na aso, sabay segue ng “Bakit naman kasi ang dami-daming pangalan ay yung sa aso pa ang pinili?”—isang obvious reference sa bansag kay Willie bilang “Pappy” sa Wowowee.
